Experience

2004 – present Cathedral Church of St. Andrew Honolulu, HI
Provost/Canon Administrator

  • As the Chief Operations Officer for the Cathedral have responsibility for the oversight of Staff, Stewardship, Budget, all Cathedral finances, (operations $1.2 million; endowment $3.6 million), oversight of $6.2 million Capital Campaign and all matters pertaining to the Buildings and Grounds; Responsible for the Cathedral worship, preaching schedule and congregation program development; Responsible for the development of relationships with and between the Cathedral, Office of the Bishop, St. Andrew’s Priory School, St. Paul’s Mission, and St. Peter’s Church (all sharing the same property)
  • In the Dean’s medical absences, before her medical retirement and with the help of the Bishop, was responsible for all liturgies and the life of the Cathedral. As the interim Chief Executive Officer for the Cathedral have oversight of support staff, all financial matters, (a $1.4 million budget, and $2.4 million endowment) and all matters pertaining to the Buildings & Grounds
  • In the Diocese of Hawaii have been a member and chair of the Commission on Ministry and Dispatch of Business for the Annual meeting of the Diocese
    Community involvement includes membership in the Pacific Club, member of Honolulu Theatre for Youth advisory board and member of the Institute for Human Services Board of Directors

  • Provided vision and opportunity for the churches of the area to support, encourage and assist one another through the development of this model based on the things people and the church value. The Cluster consists of three Episcopal, a start up Hispanic mission and a Lutheran congregation. Oversight of clergy staff consisting of a Lutheran pastor, two part-time Episcopal priests, a Deacon and several retired priests working with together, including a semi-retired Bishop
  • Commission for Congregations - Diocese of Olympia - Served as chair. The Commission was charged with oversight of granting process, demographics, and congregational development
  • Commission on Ministry - Diocese of Olympia - Member. Working on implications and implementation of Title III changes

  • Gave leadership to and served as advocate for the development of program in fulfillment of the mission of the diocese, including budget development and supervision for Youth Coordinator, University Chaplains (2), and Church School Consultant – developed, implemented and coordinated training for clergy and laity in the issue of sexual misconduct
  • Executive Director of Camp Tuttle
  • In cooperation with the Camp Tuttle Board of Directors oversaw the development of theological and philosophical assumptions underlying the camp program, budget, Master Planning and gave oversight to all programs and activities, including summer camping program, YARDSTIC (Youth At Risk/Disadvantaged Students Trapped In Crisis), and other adventure based programs
